The Vari-Leg™ Tripod Legs were specifically designed to fit the leg pockets of the Vari-Leg™ Tripod Base Plate. While the notch cut in the top makes a perfectly perpendicular surface for the leg screw to contact, any round item can be easily secured into the Base Plate and used as legs. Trekking poles are perfect! The lightweight, yet sturdy aluminum legs make for a very good leg option when you can afford to stay close to the ground. Never go without a tripod when you can use the Vari-Leg™ Tripod to secure your scope and maintain the ability to pan effectively.
